The town of Veliko Tarnovo is the ancient capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. Due to its stunning beauty and grandeur it was compared even to Constantinople. During the Bulgarian Revival Period the town was a lively centre of enlightenment and trade. Today Veliko Turnovo has preserved much of its ambiance and is an important cultural centre of immense historical significance. The specific atmosphere of Veliko Tarnovo is created by the unusual location of the houses one above the other on the steep slopes of four hills. The Tsarevets and the Trapezica hills are the main tourist attractions in Veliko Tarnovo. There you can have a walk through the remnants ancient fortresses, see the Royal Palaces, the Patriarchal Church and the Bauldouin tower in which the Latin Emperor Bauldouin found his death. The foundations of a large number of mediaeval churches have been discovered on the Trapezitsa hill. “The Sound and Light Show” is a breath-taking audio-visual spectacle with illumination of the fortress on the Tsarevets hill on a dramatic musical background.

The location is super! The whole beach is in front of the hotel and this is the best asset of the hotel. Mostly of the apartments are from private owners and are given to hotel to be managed and some of them are well aged and need to be repainted at least. ...
